Call to Arms: Lightworkers Unite!

In light of recent events, I want to mention here that my heart quite literally hurts.  And I know full well I cannot begin to relate to what some may be going thru... but I offer you this...

We were not born with hate, anger or sin in our hearts.  These things are taught.  Race, religion, economic status, gender status, borders, etc – we're taught that these things separate us. 

We are not separate from each other.  That is an illusion.  Don't believe for one second just because it's not happening to you, that it does not affect you.  Each heart beats for the next – be it animal plant or Earth itself.  Yes, our home does indeed have a heartbeat, and if it weren't for that, we wouldn't even be here.  All of the elements come together in harmony, separate for the sake of unity – air, fire, earth and water – so we can make a life on this beautifully unique planet.  Look around you!  If you cannot find the magic in your world, you're probably looking to hard.  Watch the trees sway and the cosmos dance!  No matter your religion or lack thereof, we ended up here – and we are so smart and we can do so much good... I mean, why would we do otherwise?  Our existence (as far as we know) is so very unique! 

So, does any of this matter?  Either everything we do matters or nothing does... I would prefer to believe that they do matter.  We were born with a natural state of compassion in our hearts – and we are taught at an early age to label, blame and demand things – we have to really work to get back to a time where we had no violence in our heart.  And I know what you're thinking, “If I do it, doesn't mean others will”, and you're absolutely right!  But, as clichéd as it is, we really need to be the change we want to see – the microcosm to the macrocosm – one candle will light up an entire room!  No amount of darkness can snuff out that candle, but look how the darkness flees from the light!  Violence begets violence – the only thing that can conquer it, is love!

And as we shine out our compassion to others, remember yourself as well.  Light begets light - and to shine our brightest and heal the world around us, we need to be growing and healing as well.  If your compassion does not include yourself, it is incomplete! 

This life is so beautiful and so precious!  To all the light bringers out there – keep shining!  Don't get discouraged, we need you more than ever! Compassion is radicalism in our time - I say we all be rebels together!

I wish you all love, acceptance, compassion, empathy and so much more!  Shower that stuff everywhere!  We all need it -
